So pretty much my whole family watches the Regular Show, and my sister is in LOVE with it.

There’s this one episode called “Eggscellent”, and basically there’s this challenge where you have to eat 12 eggs, chili, cheese, 2 biscuits, and a fruit bowl in under an hour. If you complete the challenge, you get an awesome trucker hat that says “I’m Eggscellent” On the front.

Now this isn’t a REAL challenge, but we decided that for my birthday (Which is tomorrow the 27th) we would set up the challenge and see if I could complete it.

I’d have to say, it was one hell of a challenge, and I’ve got the biggest stomach ache I’ve had in quite a while right now from it, but my sister had made an “I’m Eggscellent” hat for me, and after I finished it, supprised me with it.

The challenge took me 36 minutes (I was watching TV too, so that probably slowed me down some), and it was extremely fun.

Here are some pictures of the challenge, little bits and pieces, and the final result.

First thing I’ve ever really “reblogged..” but I saw this a while ago, put a stupid heart thing in the corner of the post, and never put it on my page. BUT THIS DESERVES 100,0022$0,001#0 REBLOGS. THIS GUY IS A HEERROOO

i remember once i was walking to class near this group of guys and one of them saw his girlfriend and one of his friends was like “c’mon man bros before hoes” and the guy looked him dead in the eye and said “she’s the bro and y’all bitches are the hoes” before going to talk to his girlfriend and i have never seen a group of guys in sagging jeans and ridiculous shoes look so offended

be a pal and like people’s text posts. reblog their selfies. respond to their questions. even if you don’t know the answer and even if you’ve never really talked to them before. there’s nothing worse that feeling alone on a website where everyone promotes love and friendship.

Equal Access study survey

aerinonthesideofcaution:

Hi, everyone. I’m a grad student in a Master’s of Library Science program. As part of my degree program, I’ve put together a research study looking at transgender individuals’ information seeking behavior and needs through a brief online survey.

If you’re 18+ and identify as trans, please consider taking the survey at the link below!

Feel free to pass along/share this link with other people you know who might be interested!

Please share! This study will be open until the end of August. I’m hoping to use this data to publish an article aimed at librarians and ways they can help make libraries more trans friendly.

If you identify as a gender different than you were assigned at birth and are 18+, please take the survey. It would mean a lot to me!

Although I have to point out that there was a piece of speculative science fiction called The Blazing World published by one Margaret Cavendish, Duchess of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1666, slightly predating Mary Shelley.

This is the thing. Women have been doing awesome shit since there was awesome shit to do, we’ve BEEN THERE, if anyone bothered to look.

Oh, they looked. And then maliciously and willfully erased us from the books to keep anyone else from “getting ideas.”

Hell, the first named author in history? Enheduanna, a Sumerian high priestess, poet and lyricist. She’s known as the Shakespeare of Sumerian literature.

Hi there! I have some questions about student orgs... 1. Is MoHonest an org? How do you get involved? 2. Is there any organization having to do with immigration rights or law or anything like that? 3. Is there any organization having to do with education or awareness about the prison industrial complex? Thanks.

mountholyoke:

MoHonest is an organization, but I’m not sure if it’s one that the school recognizes? I don’t know if they’re formally a student org because it was a new movement, is what I’m saying. Also I can’t imagine them wanting to jump through the administrations hoops to conform to student org rules and regs. I don’t really know… But you can get involved with that!

Oh gosh these are such good questions and I’m sorry I have like no answers - I’m not sure if we have a particular student org centered around immigration rights/law and the other two, but I do know that many students on campus are active in these causes - take a class or talk to Professor David Hernandez, he’s a Latin American Studies prof. and he’s super vocal with activism and events and protests.

ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ABOUT ORGS INVOLVING IMMIGRATION RIGHTS, EDUCATION, PRISON AWARENESS, ETC? SOCIAL JUSTICE FTW.

As far as I know, there is no org that talks about immigration rights specifically. If there was, I would’ve been on that asap. But Roosevelt did an event on undocumented students spring of 2013—I helped them out with it. Roo does a lot of political awareness and such. That’s about all I know, though.
